Florida State co-offensive coordinator and quarterbacks coach Randy Sanders will be leaving Tallahassee to head north. He has been named as the head coach of East Tennessee State after coach Carl Torbush retired after his third season as head coach of the team.

Sanders had been with Florida State since 2013 when he coached Jameis Winston and the team won the last BCS National Championship. Before that stint, he had been with Kentucky from 2006 to 2012 where he was originally the quarterbacks coach and then was given the title of offensive coordinator in 2009.
Before that, he spent 20 years at Tennessee as both a player and coach. He started his career as a quarterback in 1984 and then joined the staff as the quarterback coach in 1989. He held that position before becoming the receivers coach in 1991 and then run game coordinator in 1993 and then was the offensive coordinator from 1998 to his last season there in 2005.
