On April 24, word broke that dual-threat quarterback prospect Jarren Williams was stepping back from his verbal commitment to the Kentucky Wildcats. That wasn't exactly national news given the fact that Williams is seen widely as a three-star prospect but, in the interim, the talented rising senior received interest in the form of offers from schools like Alabama, Florida and in-state power Georgia.
Now, the 2018 prospect from Central Gwinnett High School (Ga.) is making real waves and he is doing so by re-committing to the Wildcats.

It isn't every day that Kentucky beats the likes of Alabama, Florida and Georgia (plus others) for a prospect but that happened in this case. It seems clear that Williams values the early interest put forth by the Wildcats and the 6'2", 206-pound quarterback brings a lot of talent to the table that could be incredibly vital for Kentucky moving forward.
Given that it is only mid-May, it must be noted that there is plenty of time for some waffling here and Williams has already de-committed once. Still, this appears to be pretty firm and, if it holds, the pick-up of Jarren Williams serves as a massive recruiting win for Mark Stoops and his staff.
