Peyton Manning to finally be honored by Indianapolis Colts this upcoming season

Now, the Colts are unveiling a statue of Manning on October 7, and they are retiring his No. 18 jersey the following day as the Colts host the San Francisco 49ers.

Manning won four of his five MVP awards with the Colts. He won back-to-back MVPs in 2003 and 2004 and in 2008 and 2009.

Manning led the Colts to a Super Bowl victory over the Chicago Bears in 2006, and he led the franchise to another Super Bowl appearance in 2009. He threw for nearly 55,000 yards and 198 touchdowns with the Colts before winning another Super Bowl with the Broncos.

The Colts drafted the legendary Manning with the No. 1 overall pick in the 1998 NFL Draft.
