One forgotten QB reportedly just blazed a 4.28 40 at his team's Pro Day

We don't know how much this will affect his NFL Draft stock, but it will definitely turn the heads of NFL scouts. According to Kelly Quinlan of Rivals, Georgia Tech quarterback Justin Thomas ran a 4.28 in the 40-yard dash at Georgia Tech's Pro Day.

Justin Thomas ran a 4.28 40 and just had a one-handed catch on a corner route over throw. Got a clap from the scouts. Lol

While the 4.28 is an unofficial time, it seems that all of the scouts at Georgia Tech did have Thomas running a sub-4.4, which would put him in the most elite group of 40 times from the NFL Combine.

Several scouts I asked had Justin Thomas running a sub-4.4 second 40-yard dash. Only seven players at the Combine this year ran sub-4.4 pic.twitter.com/zb4djwmfbV

Thomas has been Georgia Tech's option quarterback for the past three seasons, but it looks like he plans to convert to either wide receiver or defensive back for his shot at the NFL. Thomas, a Top 10 athlete from the 2012 class, was originally committed to Alabama as a defensive back before changing his commitment to be a quarterback with the Yellow Jackets.

In his career with Georgia Tech, Thomas threw for 4,649 yards and 40 touchdowns, while rushing for 2,370 yards and 21 touchdowns.
