Oklahoma running back accused of rape in protective order

According to Brook Pryor of the Oklahoman, Oklahoma Sooners running back Rodney Anderson is facing an accusation of rape in an emergency protective order that was filed in court on Monday. Online records list that a hearing will be held on Dec. 18 for the protective order. At this time, police are investigating the case, but Anderson has not been arrested, nor has he been charged with a crime.

Talked to Norman detective Ron Collett who confirmed there was a police report filed yesterday in Anderson’s case. There is an ongoing investigation, but no charges have been filed against Anderson.

Anderson has already released a statement through his attorney, where he denies any allegations of rape or sexual misconduct.

Anderson is Oklahoma's leading rusher this season with 960 yards and 11 touchdowns. His status for Oklahoma's next game against No. 3 Georgia is the Rose Bowl is unclear, but the Oklahoman reports that the schools is aware of the accusations against Anderson is currently "gathering more information" on the alleged incident.
