
Oklahoma running back Joe Mixon is preparing to enter the NFL Draft, according to ESPN's Adam Schefter.

The move comes after many questioned what Mixon would do following the public release of a video that shows Mixon violently striking a woman in the face. Mixon was charged in the 2014 incident and he was suspended from Oklahoma football activities for a the 2014 season.
However, following the release of the video, many question why Mixon wasn't kicked out of the program altogether. Oklahoma head coach Bob Stoops has been under criticism for his handling of the events, and multiple controversies have emerged about Mixon ranging from Brent Musburger to the rest of the Oklahoma team.
Where Mixon goes in the 2017 NFL Draft is another question that will likely spark a controversial answer. Former Ravens running back Ray Rice was essentially blacklisted from the league following a similar incident involving him and his then fiancee, and a lot of teams will likely pass on Mixon due to the cloud surrounding his past.
