When you think about it, The Office had so many moments that when put in the right context could be meshed with nearly any movie or television show in existence. During many of Michael Scott’s freakouts you could easily substitute or mashup those scenes with the scenes and trailers of just about any movie you want. One movie where the mashup works quite well is with The Purge. Don’t ask, it just does.
The real question is why would someone be thinking of The Office and The Purge in harmony? In the decade that I’ve been writing on the internet, this is a question I no longer ask. The internet is the internet and anything goes on here. Even when it involves masks with the eyes cut out in sync with Dwight Shrute.
