Odell Beckham Jr. is a quarterback's best friend and a defensive back's worst enemy. The New York Giants wide receiver is now even more explosive than ever before, which is scary enough, and now his bank account is about to skyrocket.
The three-time Pro Bowl selection, and quickest player to 200 receptions and 3,000 yards in NFL history, has reportedly agreed to a five-year extension with the Giants, which will make him the highest-paid wide receiver in football history.
The maximum price on the deal? $95 million.

With a record $65 million guarantee — $41 million fully guaranteed — Beckham's new deal to keep him with New York through the 2023 season is the biggest contract for a non-quarterback offensive player ever.
Only Ndamukong Suh's deal in 2015 and Von Miller's in 2016 top the 25-year-old Beckham's contract for non-quarterbacks.

The No. 12 overall pick in the 2014 NFL Draft from LSU, Beckham has 313 receptions for 4,424 receiving yards with 38 touchdowns in just 47 games played. He fractured his left ankle in Week 5 against the Los Angeles Chargers last season, which sidelined him for the remainder of the 2017 campaign.
Apparently that is no cause for concern. Beckham hasn't played in any of the Giants' three preseason games, but is expected to return for the September 9 season opener against the Jacksonville Jaguars, especially after this deal got done.

One last detail on Beckham: There are $5 million in escalators in the last two years of his deal ($2.5 million in each year, based on catches, yards, TDs) that can push the 5-year new money total from $90 million to $95 million.

Beckham will make $8.4 million on the fifth-year option of his rookie contract and receive an insane $20 million signing bonus.
Keeping the superstar wide receiver with the New York Giants was obviously a priority, and the front office made it very clear how important he is to the franchise's future.
All that's left is for Beckham to return to the field and make the investment worth it.
Basically, all that means is to keep doing what he has been doing since he entered the league.
