Son of former Super Bowl champ won't be following in his father's footsteps with his commitment

Three-star tight end Tommy Tremble is the son of former Dallas Cowboy and Super Bowl champion Greg Tremble. The younger Tremble had been considering his father's alma mater, Georgia, but it looks like he is instead going elsewhere, as Tremble announced on Thursday that he had committed to Notre Dame.

I just want to stop and say thanks to the man upstairs. I've been praying for this moment since I was 4 years old. I also want thank my parents for believing in me since I've had that dream and also supporting me 100%. I'd like t thank every school that has invested their time into me and given me a chance to play at the next level. I'd also like tot hank Coach Pridgen, Coach Helmerich and the entire Wesleyan community for what they've done for me even during my hardships. With all of that said I'd like to announce that I will be committing to The University of Notre Dame.

Tremble (6-foot-4, 225 pounds, Norcross, Ga.) had also taken visits to Michigan and UCLA, but it looks like the Fighting Irish were able to win out in this recruiting battle.

Tremble is Notre Dame's 20th commitment for the 2018 class, which is currently ranked sixth in the nation at 247Sports.
