It doesn't look like anything can stop FSU RB Dalvin Cook as the back has accounted for 492 total yards on offense while battling a hamstring injury over the past two weeks.

His own teammate, Kermit Whitfield, has been in a competition with him for title of fastest man on the FSU roster since the start of the season, with each reaching over 22 mph in summer workouts. That competition seems to have abated a bit with Florida State's top player on the mend.

Whitfield, the other standout on the Seminoles offense, has 18 receptions 267 receiving yards and a touchdown after dealing with a similar injury to Cook earlier in the summer.

"That's real crazy coming from him and then me having one," Whitfield told reporters this week. "I don't think I probably would even run with that. He's running, but he's running powerfully against big ole' lineman. ... He's a freak of nature. I tell you."

While either one could be the fastest player on the team, it doesn't really matter much anymore because nobody can seem to even touch the limping running back.

Next Saturday against Georgia Tech will be Cook's 20th game with the Seminoles and 37 rushing yards will give the sophomore back 2,000 on his career, the fastest in FSU history. The injured back is currently averaging 8.7 rushing yards every time he touches the ball.
