One of the top talents in the NFL Draft, linebacker Reuben Foster recently underwent surgery on his right rotator cuff, according to ESPN's Adam Caplan.
Because of the surgery, Foster won't be able to take part in the NFL Combine and is expected to be ready right around training camp.
Concerns over his medical history has some teams wary, per NFL.com, but CBS's Pete Prisco doesn't think it will stop him from being a top-10 selection, landing at No. 9 in his recent mock draft.
"He might be the best player in the draft, even though he had shoulder surgery last week. Rey Maualuga isn't a kid anymore. Foster can hit, cover and would provide a much faster option than Maualuga."
SI.com's mock draft had him going No. 2 overall to the San Francisco 49ers and he's believed to be the best linebacker in the class. In fact, Pro Football Focus even named him the most complete linebacker in the class.
Foster registered 115 tackles, 13.0 tackles for loss and 5.0 sacks during his standout season at Alabama.
