The NCAA has come to a settlement with Penn State in the Corman lawsuit to adjust the penalties levied against the school after the Jerry Sandusky sexual abuse scandal. Part of the settlement between the NCAA and the school will reinstate the 111 wins that were vacated by Penn State and former head coach Joe Paterno.
With the reinstated wins, Paterno once again moves to the top of the Division-I football wins list at 409 career wins ahead of Eddie Robinson (408), Bobby Bowden (377), Bear Bryant (323), and Glenn Warner (319). The school had already had the scholarship and post-season sanctions lifted, and now the wins will be returned to the football program's records as well.
Penn State will still donate $60 million to "activities and programs for the prevention of child sexual abuse and the treatment of victims of child sexual abuse," as was originally stated in the initial sanctions.
