I very rarely if ever do a complete mouth drop but when I saw this video, my mouth actually dropped. All of you know the famous Strauss music from 2001: Space Odyssey. It’s one of the most famous sound bytes in movie history. If you can’t hear it in your head right off the bat it will take you all of half a second to recognize it in the video below. However, the video below is not of the movie 2001: Space Odyssey. It’s of the scene in The Matrix when Neo realizes he’s “The One.”
Honestly I’ve never seen music from one movie sync up to another movie as well as this. I swear it’s as if this was intentional despite the movies being decades apart. What’s even more interesting is that both films show us the next step of mankind in different ways, through enlightenment and knowledge. Seriously guys, this is beyond freaky but beyond awesome. I’d have to say my favorite part is at the :33 second mark when the agents put their guns down. It couldn’t be any more perfect.
