Four star safety Lewis Cine says one school is tough to beat

Four-star safety Lewis Cine (6-foot-2, 180 pounds) named Penn State as his current favorite college choice over Ohio State, Florida and Michigan following the Under Armour Future 50 underclassmen combine.

"It's tough to beat what Penn State has," Cine told 247Sports. "That's all I have to say."

Cine ranks as the No. 3 safety, No. 1 among players from Massachusetts and the No. 35 overall prospect for the 2019 national recruiting cycle, according to the 247Sports Composite.

Penn State already has commitments from cornerback Keaton Ellis and several safeties for 2019, but Cine believes there will be a chance to compete for playing time after he arrives on campus.

"The way things are looking right now, a lot of their seniors are leaving and going to the NFL," Cine said. "They need spots filled and it's looking bright. There are still a lot of spots open."

Still, there's a sentimental edge for Florida, given that — despite playing in Everett, Massachusetts — he grew up a Gator fan in Fort Lauderdale, Fla.

"Yes, definitely," Cine said when asked if he still had a soft spot for Florida. "Look at it. Nothing beats down south. It's beautiful weather, beautiful people, a beautiful scene. I've been around them and I get that home feel."
