According to a report from the Star Telegram, former TCU Horned Frogs wide receiver Kolby Listenbee has filed a lawsuit in the Dallas County Civil Division against the university and the Big 12 Conference for a pattern of abuse and harassment.

From Listenbee's viewpoint, after being injured in 2015, Patterson, then-offensive coordinator Doug Meacham and other coaches "continuously pressured, humiliated, and harassed Listenbee shortly after his injury diagnosis in an effort to force Listenbee to return to play quickly in their quest for a national football championship."

TCU has released the following statement:

"As a practice, Texas Christian University does not comment on the specifics of pending litigation," the release said. "However, TCU takes tremendous pride in its long-standing tradition of excellence in providing a positive experience for its student-athletes, especially in the areas of care, prevention and rehabilitation of athletic injuries."

The receiver essentially claims that after injuring the cartilage that holds the pelvic bones together, he was pressured to return to the field before being fully recovered.

According to the lawsuit, Listenbee says he was diagnosed with pelvic instability, which "requires a minimum of six months of rest and rehabilitation."

At the time of this writing, there are no other details. However, we will keep you updated as information emerges. It is a still fluid and developing story.

Listenbee was drafted by the Buffalo Bills in the sixth round of the 2016 NFL Draft. He would be released, without ever recording a statistic, in 2017. Following his departure from Buffalo, he had stints with the Miami Dolphins and Indianapolis Colts.
