
Ken Griffey Jr. was inducted in the Major League Baseball Hall of Fame on Sunday from Cooperstown, N.Y. on Sunday after an incredible 22-year MLB career. Griffey became the first player to represent the Mariners in the Baseball Hall of Fame on Sunday,
The Mariners' first real star joins with most of the 69 living members seated behind him. He was elected in January with a record 99.3 percent of the vote.
His big-league career that spanned 22 years and 2,617 career games — the majority in a Seattle uniform. He totaled 2,781 hits, 630 homers — sixth-most in MLB history - 1,662 runs, 1,836 RBI and a career .907 on-base plus slugging percentage.
