San Diego Chargers running back Brandon Oliver suffered a gruesome injury in a preseason matchup with the Minnesota Vikings Saturday. And thanks to the miracle of high-definition television, we've got stunningly clear video of it.

The third-year man out of Buffalo appeared to rupture his Achilles tendon while making a cut, and slow-motion video of the incident is up there with the most cringe-worthy injuries we've ever witnessed.
Without going into much graphic detail, let's just say that what happens inside of his sock is something you've never seen, and will pray to the heavens you never see again.
Oliver was carted off the field and we can only hope it's not as bad as it looks, as he missed the bulk of last season with a toe injury.
