In sports, the ultimate goal is to win a championship. Of course, you most likely aren't going to win the big one every year, but for most fan bases, just winning it every now and then and occasionally being in contention is good enough.
Well, that's not happening at a lot of schools, and FOX Sports took a stab at naming which schools have the most miserable fan bases in college football. Their results were actually extremely surprising. Here are the Top 3 schools that they named:
1. Georgia
2. Nebraska
3. Boise State
*cleans off glasses* Wait, what?
Georgia and Nebraska may have some frustrations for their failure to break through and win a national title in the past 20 years, but both schools have generally been relevant over that time frame. It seems weird to call their fan bases "miserable" when you have teams that would kill for their recent success.
Boise State has won more games over the past 12 seasons than any other school in FBS. I'm not sure how they fit in.
All of these teams might have frustrated fan bases to a degree, but "miserable"? Not a chance.
