He may only be a four-star recruit, but he definitely has a five-star name.
Wide receiver Osiris St. Brown (6-foot-2, 181 pounds, Anaheim, CA) of Mater Dei spurned his Catholic brethren with his commitment on Friday. Instead, St. Brown will be staying in-state and heading to Stanford.

Notre Dame is clearly no slouch in academics, but judging by that tweet, St. Brown is clearly putting his education as a high priority.
St. Brown looks like a helluva play-maker in the highlights above, and he has great chemistry with Mater Dei quarterback J.T. Daniels. Daniels is a five-star recruit of the 2019 class, and he threw for over 3,000 yards as a freshman last year.
St. Brown is only Stanford's sixth commitment of the 2017 class. They are looking to build on a stellar 2016 class that ranked 16th in the nation and third in the Pac-12.
