Brown, a Charlotte native, committed to North Carolina over Virginia Tech, Ohio State, Alabama and Michigan.
Brown is listed as an athlete on 247Sports, but he is expected to play receiver for the Tar Heels. He is ranked as the No. 10 athlete and the No. 9 player from the state of North Carolina.
Larry Fedora now has two commitments for next year's class, including Brown and offensive lineman Avery Jones.
