Four-star safety Trey Dean should have already committed and become a Florida Gator. But when coach Torrian Gray left to coach with the NFL team in Washington he kept his recruitment open. He was believed to be down to Clemson, Texas, Florida State and Georgia, but it would seem that the Longhorns are now the odd team out.

Dean told 247Sports that he eliminated Texas from a scheduled visit this weekend and will instead head to Athens to see the Bulldogs. Then he will go to Clemson on Monday rather than Tuesday and still hopes to make his decision by July 31. He also made it clear that there is no separation between UGA, Clemson and Florida State right now.

"Georgia, Clemson, or Florida State," Dean said. "I am trying to set up a visit to Florida State. I should know when in the next two days. All of those schools are on the same level, so it will depend on who sets themselves apart."

The 6'2", 180-pound Georgia native is ranked as the No. 21 safety in the class of 2018 and the No. 28 recruit in the state according to the 247Sports Composite Rankings. He's got over 30 offers including some from South Carolina, Alabama, Florida, Louisville, Michigan, Notre Dame and Oregon as well as many others.
