Four-star running back Kyle Porter (5-foot-11, 208 pounds, Katy, TX) has announced that he will be staying in-state for his college career by announcing his commitment to Texas.
Huge #hookem pick-up with Katy RB Kyle Porter committing to the #Longhorns, per a couple sources.

Porter is another big pickup for a Texas class that had been lagging behind its Big 12 peers. After picking up Porter and four-star cornerback Eric Cuffee, the Longhorns have moved from No. 34 to No. 25 over at 247Sports in the recruiting rankings. If the Longhorns get a few more commits over the next few days, they could end up with a very nice recruiting class, which is something that was not 100-percent just a few weeks ago.
