Four-star LB Will Ignont (6-foot-2, 238 pounds, New Market, Al.) is fresh off of his decommitment from Alabama, and he may already be leaning towards the Tide's biggest SEC West rival. According to the Atlanta Journal-Constitution, LSU defensive coordinator Dave Aranda has made him look closer at LSU with his recruiting process.
"I hadn't really heard from them a close deal, but Coach Aranda has picked it up," Ignont told the AJC at Nike's The Opening. "I said no one was really recruiting me, and he said that he's going to change that. We've had communication once a week, and I'm good with that. I see (LSU) as a good fit. They're losing a lot of linebackers and don't have much depth right now. Coach Aranda told me if I stay on my Ps and Qs, I'm definitely someone that can make an impact, and that's big for me.
"He always has a top defense," he added, "and he's someone I definitely want to play for."
According to the AJC, Ignont plans on committing in the next couple of months. Shortly after his decommitment, he reportedly was looking powerhouses such as LSU, Michigan, UCLA, Georgia and Auburn.
