Washington may be heading to the College Football Playoff, but this one is going to sting just a little bit.
Four-star athlete Connor Wedington (6-foot-0, 189 pounds, Sumner, Wa.) decommitted from the Huskies just a few weeks ago, and judging by a Rivals.com interview, Wedington might have a new favorite for his recruitment.
"I plan on taking an official to Stanford for the big visit. ... (The Stanford visit is) pretty big. I need to check out a couple other schools before I make my final decision."
Rivals then classifies Wedington as a "Stanford lean", while 247Sports currently gives Stanford a 100-percent chance at landing the star athlete's commitment. Stanford only has eight commitments currently for their 2017 class, so getting Wedington — the No. 3 overall recruit out of Washington — would be a major get for David Shaw and the Cardinal.
Wedington also has offers from Notre Dame, Oregon, and UCLA.
