
Lilian Garcia, former WWE announcer who left the company to take care of her father during his battle with cancer, announced on Christmas Day that he had passed away.
View this post on InstagramGarcia made a brief return to WWE for their Tribute to the Troop, singing the Star Spangled Banner before dedicating it to her father.
Garcia has been with WWE in two separate stints starting in 1999, accumulating over 15 years with the wrestling promotion. During that time, she has been one of WWE's lead ring announcers, helping call the company's weekly programming in addition to its major events.
Garcia did not say that this was the end of her WWE career at the time, so we'll see if she does return at some point.
Prayers and best wishes to Garcia and her family as they mourn this tragic situation.
