Wohlabaugh will enroll at Duke for the start of the spring semester. Due to NCAA transfer rules, he will sit out the season and will have two years of eligibility remaining beginning in 2019.

Coming out of high school, Wohlbaugh was a three-star prospect in Ohio State's 2016 recruiting class. He was rated as the No. 20 offensive guard in the country and the No. 16 player at any position in the state of Ohio according to the 247Sports Composite rankings.

The 6-foot-3, 280-pound lineman didn't play a down for the Buckeyes.

With more touted offensive linemen coming in, as others remain, he would likely be buried on the depth chart, unable to ever rise from the ashes like a phoenix.

He is the second Ohio State offensive lineman to transfer to Duke in the last year. Evan Lisle graduated from OSU in December 2016 before heading to Duke as a graduate transfer last January. Lisle started all 13 games at right tackle for the Blue Devils this past season.

Maybe Lisle put in a good word for Wohlabaugh.
