Newsome announced that he would be transferring just two weeks ago, so it didn't take long for him to come to a new decision. He picked the Sun Devils over Alabama, Texas A&M, Tennessee, USC, and Michigan State.

The reason behind Newsome's transfer from Texas appears to be his size. He is only 5-foot-8 and he had been relegated to special teams. It will be interesting to see how Arizona State will be able to fit him into their offense.

Newsome will be required to sit out the 2016 season before he is eligible to play.
