Ezekiel Elliott DIDN'T win the NFL's Offensive Rookie of the Year award

This almost seemed like a sure thing, but it looks like the award voters disagreed. On Saturday, frontrunner Ezekiel Elliott was denied the NFL's Offensive Rookie of the Year award, as quarterback and teammate Dak Prescott took home the hardware instead.

Both Elliott and Prescott put up amazing seasons, especially for rookie players. However, it seemed like Prescott wasn't getting the as much recognition from the press at the end of the season that Elliott was, and it seemed obvious that Elliott would take home the award after rushing for 1,631 yards and 15 touchdowns in his inaugural NFL campaign.

Of course, Prescott was statistically impressive in his own right, throwing for 3,667 yards and 23 touchdowns to just four interceptions in his rookie year. The Cowboys lost in the divisional round of the Playoffs to Green Bay, but Dallas should be very happy with the QB/RB combination that they have for the foreseeable future.
