We've only been waiting since 1991 to get a live action version of the classic fairy tale of the Beauty and the Beast. This particular movie will feature Emma Watson as Belle, Ewan McGregor (from the Star Wars prequel trilogy) as our favorite singing candelabra Lumiere, Luke Evans (The Hobbit trilogy) as the villainous Gaston and Dan Stevens (The Fifth Estate) as the Beast.
The trailer doesn't give away too much as the movie doesn't come out until March of next year so something has to be left to the imagination. We get a glimpse of Watson's Belle finding Beast's cursed rose and some excellent shots of the castle where he resides. You can hear McGregor's Lumiere whispering about Belle stumbling upon the castle and the trailer finishes off with a familiar sounding piano riff.
Sir Ian McKellen (X-Men, Lord of the Rings trilogy) will voice Cogsworth the singing clock and Emma Thompson will voice Ms. Potts with Kevin Kline and Stanley Tucci joining as voices for some of the furniture as well. Now if we can bring back Celine Dion and Peabo Bryson for the soundtrack, we'll be all set.
