Defensive tackle Emmit Gooden was a solid recruit coming out of high school as he was rated a four-star by 247Sports Composite Rankings in the class of 2016. However, his grades weren't good enough to qualify right away so he went to Independence Community College in Kansas. Now he's ready to contribute to a team and it seems one SEC powerhouse is in the lead for him.

The 6'4", 310-pound defensive tackle is reportedly being recruited by the king himself, Nick Saban. That has led the Crimson Tide to become the leader in his recruitment. He's rated as the No. 8 overall JUCO recruit in the country for this cycle and that has led to offers from the likes of Arkansas, Louisville, Oklahoma and Missouri among others.
