Former Alabama receivers coach Billy Napier is now at Louisiana and it looks like he is bringing at least one other former SEC staffer with him. He will be bringing on former Mississippi State tight ends coach D.J. Looney.

Looney played on the offensive line for the Bulldogs from 2007 to 2010 and then became a graduate assistant in 2011. His new role at Louisiana will be assistant offensive line coach. Here's a statement from Napier on what Looney brings to his staff.

"D.J. Looney is the perfect final piece of the puzzle for our staff on offense. His experience recruiting in the state of Mississippi will be imperative for us going forward. I'm excited about his experience and knowledge both as a successful player and coach. I can't wait for the people of Lafayette to get to know D.J."

Looney has also served on staffs at East Mississippi Community College ("Last Chance U"), Central Arkansas and Georgia as well.
