The left field bleachers were finally re-opened at Wrigley Field yesterday, and Cubs fans celebrated their bleacher creature status by...wiping their butt with a hat and tossing it on the field?
Yeah, that is a thing that happened last night when the Cubs took on the New York Mets. It's unclear what team the hat was — it's black so it looks like maybe a White Sox hat — but whatever it was it made this one Cubs fan very angry. The hat got thrown on the field at some point and then tossed back into the stands by a Cubs outfielder. That was when this lady wrestled it away from another fan, proceeded to wipe her butt with it and then threw it back onto the field.
It took less than one game for the bleachers at Wrigley to get rowdy once again and be appropriately inappropriate. I can't wait to see how fans christen the new right field bleachers when they get finished.
