There are a ton of schools out there who are more than willing to join the Big 12 if the conference goes through with expansion. It would make getting a championship easier and could help the conference become more likely to get a team in the College Football Playoffs.

Count the Colorado State Rams as one of those teams trying to get on the expansion bandwagon. They've even gone so far as to make a 12-page brochure explaining why they are a good choice for the Big 12. The geography makes sense for the conference —- more so than West Virginia anyway.
That's certainly a helpful infographic. And here's another showing how competitive CSU would be in the classroom and in enrollment against other Power 5 schools. Not to mention they've invested a ton of money into their facilities on campus.
Colorado State certainly wouldn't be the worst addition to the conference considering some of the other schools vying for a slot in the exclusive club. Here's a summary of CSU's athletic programs titles and how successful they've been as well.
