Bradley Beal was all aboard the max contract train this summer as the Washington Wizards gave him the richest deal in team history worth $128 million over five years. That surely had him jumping for joy, but probably scared some Wizards fans considering he has never made an All-Star Game and has been riddled by injuries the past few seasons. However, this past season was his best as far as overall shooting as he shot about 45 percent from the field and hit 38 percent of his three-point attempts.

What might help him to improve his shot is the ability to shoot over more guys. He'll now be able to do that against guys he couldn't before because the 23-year old apparently grew an inch this summer, which is virtually unheard of at this stage in a person's life unless you have gigantism or something —- don't worry Wizards fans, he does not have that condition.

Beal says he's grown an inch since last season: One is better than none."

Bradley Beal: "I'm only 23 years old. I know there's a lot of kids who would die to be in the situation I'm in."

That is most certainly the truth. We also got confirmation from Wizards owner Ted Leonsis that Beal did in fact grow an inch this summer:

Beal was listed at 6'5" last season so this change would presumably move him to 6'6" for the upcoming season. The former No. 3 overall pick averaged 17 points, 3 rebounds and 3 assists a game in 55 games played last season.
