All signs point to the brother of an NFL Pro Bowler joining his Super Bowl contending team

Longtime Tennessee Titan Jason McCourty is reportedly on the verge of being released by the Titans after eight seasons. NFL Media's Ian Rapoport is reporting not only that the Titans are moving on from McCourty, but a reunion with his brother, Devin, in New England is definitely plausible.

Yes, your first thought on the release of #Titans CB Jason McCourty is the same as mine. The #Patriots inquired about a trade in the past...

Rapoport notes that the New England Patriots have shown interest Jason in the past, but it's no guarantee that the veteran cornerback ends up in Foxboro at this point.

Jason did take to Twitter after news of his impending release broke to tweet the following:

His brother and current New England Patriot, Devin McCourty, was asked about the possibility of the two teaming up in Boston on Friday.

Via All22:

"I thought he took the high road in a situation that kind of wasn't great for him — a situation that could have been handled a lot earlier," McCourty told reporters at the summit. "I think for him now, he's in a different type of position. I'm excited for him. I was hoping he would be out of Tennessee a couple years ago just to experience something different. I think obviously now everyone is saying 'he's going to come here, he should come here.' But you never know. I hope we're interested in him."

McCourty appeared in 14 games for the Titans in 2016-17 where he nabbed two interceptions and 59 tackles.
