Clemson got a big win over Auburn in Week 2 of the season, and it was enough to keep the No. 3 spot in the poll. It wasn't, however, enough to avoid being jumped by a team below them.
Previous No. 5 Oklahoma jumped to the No. 2 spot after they defeated Ohio State in Columbus on Saturday. The Sooners also grabbed a few first-place votes, as they garnered two compared to Clemson's one.
Alabama still has the vast majority of the 61 first-place votes, and their No. 1 ranking was unaffected by the movement below them.
