NFL Shops state pride license plates have one glaring error

The NFL is always looking for ways to make some extra money off of fans, and they recently decided to sell State Pride license plates. It's not necessarily a bad idea. Fans can buy a license plate with their favorite team's logo placed on top of the team's home state for $29.99 (and free shippingwow!).

But the NFL made one slight problem for one team's license plate. Whoever made the license plate for the Washington Redskins must have failed geography. Take a look and see if you can find the error.

The Redskins' license plate depicts them as being from Washington state. You know, the state that's nearly 3,000 miles away from Washington D.C., where the Redskins actually get their name. Seattle Seahawks fans are probably thrilled about those plates.

Who knows, maybe there are a few stray Redskins' fans in Washington state. If so, today is their lucky day for a Redskins license plate.

For Redskins fans in D.C.? Well, they're just out of luck.

What's truly shocking about the error is that this plate had to have been seen by numerous people before they decided to market them. So it probably wasn't just one person who missed it. It was likely a lot of people, and no one noticed.

The NFL needs to give a geography lesson to some of its employees. Let's blame Roger Goodell and move on.
