Urban Meyer joined David Letterman Thursday night on the Late Show as part of the media tour following the Buckeyes' win in the National Championship game. The interview took place just after Cardale Jones announced he would be returning to Ohio State, so the conversation naturally shifted to the Buckeyes' quarterback situation heading into next season.

Meyer complimented all three quarterbacks and as he detailed the injuries to Braxton Miller and J.T. Barrett that opened the door for Cardale Jones, he refused to say "Michigan," instead simply referring to them as "the team up north" despite Letterman's best efforts to get him to say it. Letterman's suggestion for what to do with the QB excess in Columbus was to see if one would be willing to become the mascot.
