Four-star defensive tackle Tyler Friday (6-foot-3, 263 pounds, Ramsey, NJ) definitely chose the right day of the week to make his commitment.
On Friday afternoon, the big four-star announced that he had committed to Ohio State.

With the new early signing period being instituted for the 2018 class, there were not a ton of four-star recruits left on the board as we head to the traditional National Signing Day in February. Ohio State already had a fantastic class locked up during the early signing period, and now they get another big boost by bringing on yet another blue-chipper in Friday.
Friday is one of the Top 100 recruits of the 2018 class according to the 247Sports Composite rankings. Those same rankings have him rated as the No. 4 defensive tackle in the nation.
Alabama and Michigan were also major contenders for Friday's commitment. Friday also had offers from Georgia and Miami, among others.
