Porter Maberry is a 5'5" dunking phenomenon much like the man he paid tribute in this dunk —- Spud Webb. Webb stood 5'7" and participated in the 1986 dunk contest despite no one actually having seen him dunk. Well, everyone learned that day that Webb could definitely dunk.
Maberry paid homage to Webb not only by participating in this particular dunk contest, but also by wearing his jersey. He then proceeded to stun and amaze by going over two people for a dunk and grabbing the ball out of a taller guy's hands in mid-air! That's definitely one way to win a dunk contest.
