The AFC Championship Game was a thriller that required a fourth quarter comeback by Tom Brady.
The NFC Championship Game? Not so much.
The Philadelphia Eagles defeated the Minnesota Vikings by a 38-7 score in order to punch their ticket to the Super Bowl. Quarterback Nick Foles — filling in for injured Eagles starter Carson Wentz — was absolutely fantastic, throwing for 352 yards and three touchdowns to lead the Eagles offense to an easy victory.
It was hard to believe the game ended up in such a blowout, as Minnesota opened the game with a quick touchdown. However, instead of remaining competitive, the Minnesota offense was silent for the remainder of the game while Philadelphia went wild in scoring 38 consecutive points.
With the win, the Eagles will go on to face the New England Patriots in Super Bowl LII in Minnesota. The Patriots advanced earlier on Sunday by defeating the Jacksonville Jaguars in a comeback thriller. The game will be a rematch of Super Bowl XXXIX in 2005, where the Patriots beat the Eagles 24-21.
