Stanford running back Barry Sanders Jr. has been granted his released from the program, and will be eligible to transfer immediately upon graduation in the summer.
Sanders told the Oklahoman that he was granted his released, but will only be able to transfer to schools outside of the Pac-12. The same interview mentioned that Oklahoma State is the current favorite for Sanders, which makes sense considering Sanders grew up in the area after his father's legendary career at the school.
Sanders has spent much of his career at Stanford as a backup, and was the primary backup for Christian McCaffrey this season. Sanders has rushed for 315 yards in each of the last two seasons with a total of four touchdowns.
