Four-star athlete Ronald Thompkins II (5-foot-11, 190 pounds, Loganville, Ga.) decommitted from Florida State back in September, but don't count out the Seminoles just yet. Thompkins released a new list of his top five teams in the past week, and Florida State is still among his top schools.

Joining Florida State in Thompkins' top five are Georgia, Oregon, Nebraska, and Florida.
Thompkins originally committed to Florida State back in May of this year, but he backed off that decision just a few months later. Thompkins explained to Chad Simmons of Rivals.com at the time that he wanted to explore his options more. As a Class of 2019 recruit, Thompkins had committed early in the process, so it was not too surprising that he would eventually want to put his name back out there.
Thompkins is ranked as a four-star recruit by the 247Sports Composite rankings. Listed as an athlete now, Thompkins is projected to play as either a running back or defensive back at the next level.
