This was a good way to clear the air.
In an interview with Rivals, four-star offensive tackle Rasheed Walker (6-foot-6, 300 pounds, Waldorf, MD) laid out his list of top schools, but he also clarified one thing: Penn State is not his leader right now.
From Rivals:
"Everybody is saying that I'll end up at Penn State," Walker said. "I understand why they are saying that because I've been visiting there a lot. They say I've been to Penn State more than all my other schools. Penn State is one of my favorites but that's not true. I've been to Maryland more times than I can count and I've been to Ohio State about the same number of times as Penn State.
It appears that Penn State, Ohio State, and Maryland are the top schools in the running for Walker, with Rutgers, North Carolina, and Virginia Tech also getting consideration.
Rivals has Walker rated as the No. 7 offensive tackle in the nation, as well as a Top 100 recruit overall for the 2018 class. It doesn't appear that he is expected to make a decision any time soon.
