Radio host Paul Finebaum made an appearance on The Opening Drive on WJOX 94.5 in Birmingham, Alabama, and he was asked about Hurts potentially losing his job by Opening Drive co-host Al Del Greco.

"Al, it's 7:08 in the morning in Birmingham," Finebaum said. "Do you want me to go off on you like Nick Saban went off on the media for even bringing that question up?

"It's not going to happen, come on. You've been on that football field and you know the competition is encouraged, but to me, Jalen Hurts is going to be the starting quarterback and I think for anyone to suggest otherwise is in a fantasy land right now."

Nick Saban said earlier in the week that Alabama is focusing more on the passing game this spring. Hurts was effective at times but still limited in the downfield passing game.

Hurts threw for 2,780 yards, 23 touchdowns and nine interceptions while completing 62.8 percent of his passes as a freshman. Tagovailoa was the No. 1 dual threat QB in the Class of 2017 and the No. 32 overall player according to 247Sports.
