Well that escalated quickly!
Just a few days after naming Alabama, LSU, Nebraska, Oregon, Penn State, Washington and UCLA as the top teams in his recruitment, four-star defensive back Verone McKinley III (5-foot-10, 170 pounds, Carrollton, TX) has made a decision by announcing his commitment to Oregon.

McKinley had said before that he wanted to make a decision "before the end of summer", and it looks like the conversation he had with Oregon head coach Willie Taggart was enough to convince to make the decision now instead of waiting it out a bit.
McKinley is rated as a four-star by both Scout and Rivals. Oregon now has 18 commitments for their 2018 class, and Taggart has the team in a strong position as a Top 10 team in the 247Sports recruiting rankings.
