The "mannequin challenge" took the world by storm in 2016. It became so popular that it seemed to be showing up everywhere you looked.
Alabama's football team's version was unsurprisingly better than every other's version. Then-First Lady Michelle Obama got in on the craze with LeBron James and members of the Cleveland Cavaliers during their visit to the White House.
The mannequin challenge even worked its way onto a high school football field in California. After Del Oro High School scored a touchdown against Antelope High, they decided to incorporate the internet trend into one of their trick plays on a two-point conversion attempt.
Needless to say, defenders were confused as hell.

The mannequin gimmick appeared to have some kind of outcome on the play, because the conversion was successful. And it did look pretty darn cool. Del Oro came away with an emphatic 50-10 victory to advance to the section final of the Sac-Joaquin Division II playoffs.
A message to all high school, college and NFL football coaches: please come up with more of these kinds of plays.
