
Well, it's official!
Former WWE Intercontinental Champion Drew McIntyre — real name Drew Galloway — was rumored to be on his way back to WWE after he made a surprise in-crowd appearance at the NXT Takeover show on Saturday. McIntyre's return was confirmed on Wednesday, as he officially took part in a match during Wednesday's NXT tapings.

McIntyre's first match back was a quick win over Oney Lorcan, where Lorcan reportedly got bloodied up during the match.
McIntyre — billed at 6-foot-5, 250 pounds — was originally in WWE from 2006 to 2014, winning the Intercontinental and tag team championships during his first sting with the company. After his release in 2014, McIntyre has success under his real name with Impact! Wrestling and ICW in the U.K.
