Alabama Crimson Tide head coach Nick Saban wants there to be college football this fall. He's not alone. Whether it's at Bryant-Denny Stadium in Tuscaloosa or somewhere else, getting back to the gridiron is important to so many people. That's a big reason why the legendary leader is taking the coronavirus pandemic and COVID-19 outbreak very seriously.
With so much uncertainty, including the status of football season, everyone is patiently waiting for a final decision to be made. In the meantime, the Alabama football coach, Crimson Tide mascot Big Al, and Associate Athletic Director of Sports Medicine Jeff Allen teamed up for an important public service announcement.
"A special message from Coach Saban, Big AL and Jeff Allen! #InThisTogether #RollTide," the social media post reads.
From practicing proper social distancing to wearing masks, the PSA covers it all.

As Alabama coach Nick Saban and head athletic trainer Jeff Allen walk through the complex, they run into Big Al. Of course, the Alabama mascot wants to give them a hug because that's the kind of elephant he is. However, that's not safe social distancing and Big Al isn't wearing a mask.
In classic Saban fashion, he gives Big Al a lecture while Jeff Allen busts out a tape measure to show how he needs to stay six feet away.
The video itself is pretty funny, but the message by the SEC legend at the end of it is very real.
"All of us want to make sure we play football this fall. And to make that happen, we must be sure we stay at home if we have symptoms, wash your hands often, follow all social distancing guidelines, and please wear a mask anytime you're around other people."
The University of Alabama is scheduled to open its 2020 season against USC on September 5. So much can change between now and then, but if everyone wants to have NCAA and NFL football this season, listening to Saban is probably a wise idea.
