Three-star safety Ahman Ross decommitted from Miami prior to the start of the 2016 season, and his recruitment had been a major tossup since. Ross had offers from other schools like Florida State, West Virginia, and Louisville, but on Friday, Ross announced that he would be committing to Lane Kiffin and Florida Atlantic.

This is a huge get for Kiffin with Florida Atlantic, as Ross immediately becomes the highest-rated commitment for the Owls. Kiffin should be able to bring a recruiting boost to Florida Atlantic, and getting Ross over the major in-state competitors is a good start.
Ross is the 12th commitment for Florida Atlantic's 2017 class.
